Welcome to the Rorie Islands

After a long journey, the ship that brought you here docked in Mesperit City. The port is full of life, people and Pokémon are walking around, dockworkers and Machamps are loading or unloading boats, Wingull let out their cries and eye for easy food to steal. There are many directions you can go in. A tourist center and the Pokémon center are side by side on the other side of the road. A busstop is within sight. Those who know they need to go to the Academy or Professor Maple already received instructions they will need to take the bus to Lilan Town. Others are free to go wherever they please and can get information about locations at the tourist centre or in the Pokémon centre.

"Gull!" Razi had scarcely taken two steps off the boat before a Wingull dove at her, skimming the top of her head. "Ah!" she exclaimed, reflexively ducking down. "I don't even have anything good! Get outta here! Shoo!" She waved her arms frantically, forgetting that she did in-fact have something good and it was now long gone with her theatrics. People had turned to stare. A Machamp holding a box looked inquisitively towards the boat. Razi's eyes followed to the Wingull, who was now surrounded by several others, tearing something apart. "Aw, come on," she sighed, watching her last masalda being eviscerated in a flurry of feathers. "I was looking forward to that!" "Freeee." Razi turned towards her Butterfree, exasperated. "I know I should have been paying attention, but honestly, Iris! I don't need to be scolded by you as well." She started walking towards the street, perking up when she saw the Pokemon Center across the way. "Oh, hey! There is Mesperit's Pokemon Center! If you find a Nurse Joy, you can find a breeder! Let's go, Iris!" Her gait quickened. She was practically vibrating with excitement at this point, her lost masalda forgotten. She had heard so much about the Rorie Islands and couldn't believe she was finally here. "Bee! Freeeee!" Iris twirled around, chirping happily. The Center shone red in the warm sun - a comforting beacon to all trainers and Pokemon in need. Razi paused in front of the building, hesitating. It's been a while since you have talked to a Nurse Joy, but it's not the time to back down now! she thought, hand trembling slightly as she grabbed the handle. She took a deep breath and pulled the open the door, wondering who would greet her on the other side.

Dany is pacing back and forth at the bus stop, with her Cradily marching behind her, mimicking her movements as best he can with his stubby legs. Her huge backpack is really starting to weigh her down. "Guess coming early was a bad idea." She has terrible timing, so she wanted to give herself plenty of space. But maybe an hour before departure was a bit much. Cradily is looking pretty miserable too, so she heads inside the Pokecentre, hoping that Rorie Islands Pokecentres have café corners like the ones back home. She could do with a drink, plus one to pour over Cradily to keep him hydrated.

Sarah sat on a chair, with her sleeping abra on her lap. Annoyed she looked at her brother, who was talking to nurse Joy while nurse Joy took his pokemon for healing. She was seriously questioning her reasoning on why she thought it was a good idea to travel with Gabe. Abra sighed in his sleep and she smiled. She'd have to put him in his pokeball soon as he was starting to weigh on her lap, but for now she enjoyed having him near. She would let out her Girafarig once they were done here, so she could stretch her legs. Sarah's eyes went over the room, the people here and there, people coming in and leaving. Involuntary her eyes were drawn to the doors everytime they opened and closed. Contemplating that psychic powers like telekinesis would be very useful right now as her water was standing untouched on a nearby table. Once more the door opened and she glanced at the door.

Gabe was leaning against the counter, telling nurse Joy in detail just how his pokemon needed healing his first day on the island. He could feel Sarahs gaze burning in his back a few times, and she probable had been right that he shouldn't do a sparring like that with his Machop and Tepig. He just wanted to start training his Machop. He accepted the mild berating of nurse Joy and nodded in agreement. It was not nearly as bad as the scolding his sister gave him. His eyes wandered through the Pokemon centre, glancing at different signs and posters. Still leaning against the counter in perfect ease he enjoyed watching people. He greeted people who looked in his direction with a grin, and was in no rush to get his pokemon back. Sarah had planned their first days in detail but he had barely listened, distracted by all the new experiences. He smiled at the newcomers when the door opened yet again.

Pandora got off the ship onto sweet, sweet land. She basically kissed it when she got off. It was great, solid, unmoving, land! In other words, she had been seasick the entire time. As she got off to Rhando Island, she quickly made two decsions; one, next time, she was going to have a Pokémon fly her. Maybe a Corviknight. Those things could fly so far. The second; she needed to head to a Pokémon center. It turned out, she wasn't the only one seasick. She had let Kai out on the boat - it turned out, he got seasick too. Who knew? "Yes, yes, Pokémon center," she said, and tottered in that direction. Kai followed her, although he didn't seem to want to be put back in his ball, he was also tottering pretty badly. It turned out Mesperit was a pretty big city. Pandora was sure she could stop by the Pokémart later - once she wasn't seasick. And with that, she entered the Pokémon center.

Dany, after ordering a coffee for herself and a bottled water for Cradily, is just chilling in the Center for the moment. She notices Pandora walking in because she looks pretty sick. She buys an extra water quickly and goes over. "Hey, you doing okay, mate? Need a drink?" She offers the still-sealed bottle out. Dany's tone is friendly and laid-back, but her smiling face does show genuine concern for the stranger.

When Miss Chefi was on the ferry here from Alola, she'd made the grave mistake of letting Gengar out of his pokeball to let him watch some passing Pokemon in the water. She now walked into the Pokemon Center, absolutely drenched in seawater, carrying her similarly soaked Gengar. She seemed utterly exhausted as she set him down on the floor in front of the counter, watching him pathetically cough. "He jumped off the ferry trying to play with the fish." She said, gesturing to Gengar, who probably had a cold by now. As the nurses took him to the back, she sat down on a bench instead of the chairs, so she wouldn't get the fabric of the chairs wet with seawater. She sighed, taking all the stuff out of her purse so that she could try to let it dry out while she waited for Gengar to get back.

Sarah looked with great interest towards Cradily, she had never seen a real one. When Cradily's trainer got up to buy a bottle of water she turned towards her backpack. With great effort she managed to get up and put Abra on the chair she'd been sitting on and rummaged through her backpack till she found her pokédex. She looked up Cradily and read the available information. "Interesting," she said under her breath, "very interesting, a fossil." When the trainer with the Gengar, both seemingly soaking wet, entered she briefly looked but Cradily was still more interesting to her. Besides, there was little she could do at this point. The trainer of the Cradily was already assisting a sick looking trainer who had a sick looking Ceruledge. The wet trainer looked fine, besides being drenched. The trainer with the Butterfree seemed to be the only one who was perfectly fine.

Gabe looked in awe at Kai. "That's an awesome pokémon!" he said enthusiastically, he had no idea what that pokemon was, but it was still one of the most epic ones he'd ever seen! Granted, he hadn't seen a whole lot of different ones but this one was definitely awesome. A woman offered the trainer of the pokémon a bottle of water and he looked around. A very wet Gengar and a woman caught his attention. He asked for a towel and headed over to her. He offered her the towel, "Here, you look like you could use one." he said with a grin. "Never knew Gengars were water pokemon", he added jokingly.

"No thanks..." she said, "I have my own water..." she raises are water bottle that she brought and took a drink out of it. "Thanks for your help though..." See, this might seen a little mean. But if a stranger suddenly offered you water, would you take it? It could be totally poisoned or something! "Really though, thanks. Me and Kai are just slightly seasick. We'll be better in an hour..." She turned to Gabe. "He's a Ceruledge," she told him, blinking slowly, ready to explain more but he already turned around. Oh well. She turned back to Dany and felt kinda bad for rejecting the water. "What's your name?" she asked.

Dany grins and nods in understanding. "No worries hey, I get it. Cradily will always take another bottle anyway, he drinks like a Magikarp. Name's Dany. And you?" She gives her a strong handshake and notices Sarah looking over. With a grin she puts her hands on her hips. "Hey there! Take it you've never seen a Cradily before? Go say hi to her, boy!" It's becoming pretty clear that Dany is very loud and very bold about interacting with new people; it's like watching the absolute reverse of social anxiety.
