The fire chicken yawned and nuzzled its feathers, lifting its head up at the sound of the professor's foot steps. Jumping off the cushion the happy pokemon ran to his feet chirping and running around in circles. "Now now you guys settle down someone will be here for you." The professor put down bowls of pokemon food, and when they had finished he placed them in the pokeballs on the cushions. The trainer had come forth to collect his pokemon and pressed on each pokeball. Out popped each pokemon and sat infront of him on the cushion; they didnt seem to interest him to much until the fire chicken. It was melan colored, not like the other two and he tilted his head. At first it looked awkward and not as cute as the mudkip or treeko but he nodded his head. "I'll take this one!" The fire chicken was excited and chirped. Nobody else had wanted him due to these color changes or people would laugh at him. He was happy and calmed down to know this trainer wanted him and found these changes unique. He finally had a home.
