Welcome to the Rorie Islands!

I hosted a similar RP years ago, and here I am again. The Rorie Islands is meant to be an open world RP in which you can do what you want to. I as the GM will offer quests to keep things interesting, but you are allowed to create your own stories in this RP. Link to the RP: to be added (waiting for at least 3 players before I made the RP) The RP will take place on an island group called the Rorie Islands. This group consists of the following islands: Rhando, Ornitan, Resto, Indelgy and Evoru. An image of the Rorie Islands: People travel to the Rorie Islands for various reasons: for tourists it’s a good place for a vacation. Researchers can discover new things about known Pokémon in a different environment or want to learn more about the Pokémon that are only found on these islands. Pokémon trainers and coordinators travel to the islands for the Rorie League and the Rorie Contests. For those who wish to learn, there is also a Pokémon Academy. The region has it’s very own Pokémon Professor who does research and hands out starter Pokémon to beginning trainers or trainers who are under the guidance of another Pokémon Professor who come to explore the island.

RP rules and character form

Rules
 • Naturally PFQ rules apply at all times.
 • This RP takes inspiration from the anime first and the official games second.
 • No godmodding (controlling someone else’s character) and don’t control the NPCs.
 • No-one is perfect, your character has flaws/weaknesses as well. Being a Pokémon Master takes time, it's very unlikely I'll accept a 12-year-old who won three official Pokémon Leagues and caught 6 legendary Pokémon.
 • No-one is invincible, allow yourself to be hit during battles as well.
 • Battles are done anime-style. While you can use items and keep stats/levels in mind, this is not mandatory.
 • You can RP a battle against a wild Pokémon but I will roll for a successful catch.
 • When it comes to special region-exclusive transformations, only mega-evolutions are allowed if you brought a megastone to the islands, and terastilizing for trainers who are either native to Paldea or spent a significant time there as exchange students and brought a Tera orb with them.
 • Mythical and legendary Pokémon are allowed, within reason. If a Pokémon is canonically unique and in charge of keeping balance in the world, you can't have it in your party. You will have to include in your history how you got it and it may be denied if you make it too easy.
 • Posting rules depend on the number of players: with 3 you have to wait until 2 others posted, 4 or more you have to wait until 3 others have posted.
 • You are allowed up to two characters for this RP. These two characters still count as 1 player.
Character form Name: Age: Rank (L-trainer, RR-trainer, Ranger, Breeder, Coordinator, Scientist, Student, Tourist): Appearance: Location of origin: History: Party: More about the Party: Listing a moveset and ability is optional - like in the anime Pokémon have access to all their moves. A student with no experience as Trainer can only have 1 Pokémon partner, or pick up a starter on the academy, this will be the start of their adventure. All others can choose how many Pokémon they bring. However, the limit of 6 Pokémon in a team applies, so if you want to catch new Pokémon plan your team accordingly. You can have Pokémon in storage with your Pokémon Professor (in boxes) to swap Pokémon. Again, this RP takes inspiration from the anime first and the games second, so trainers who catch more than 6 Pokémon will need to call their Pokémon Professor to exchange Pokémon. When you make your party, make sure it fits your history. (For instance, if you never travelled outside Kanto until now, your team should reflect that. Any Pokémon that don't belong to the Kanto region will need an explanation as to how you got them.) For the purpose of the RP, a trainer can come to the Rorie Islands for two reasons.
 • L-trainer: these trainers already battled in one or more official Pokémon League, they heard about the Rorie League and decided to try it. They usually have a full party.
 • RR-trainer: they are part of the Rorie Research program. The Rorie Research program: if a trainer is under the guidance of one of the official Pokémon Professors (the one who gave them a starter and the Pokédex) or comes from the Uva/Naranja or Blueberry Academy, they were asked by their professor/director to go explore the islands for them. It was requested by your Pokémon Professor that, for the purpose of the research, the RR-trainer will only bring their starter Pokémon and max two other Pokémon with them. These trainers are eligible for one of the starters (a Rorie Exclusive) Professor Maple has.

Information about the islands

The biggest port is located on the southern side of Rhando Island and ferries from all over the world dock here. Travellers from Kanto had to board in Vermillion City. Those from Johto travelled here from Olivine City. People from Hoenn left their region through Slateport City. Sunyshore City is where the people from Sinnoh departed. For those in Fiore they boarded the ferry in Fall City. Visitors from Unova left in Castelia City. Those coming from Kalos took the ferry in Coumarine City. Alola visitors left their region in Hau'oli City, The ferry from Galar departed from Hulbury. And those from Paldea took the ferry from Levincia. The water between the islands is not deep enough for most ocean liners, but smaller commuter ferries go to and from all islands. See more about the travel times in the hidebox. Below you can find the information about the individual islands and the Pokémon you can catch on each island. Only the first stage Pokémon are listed, but the evolutions can be found on the islands too, although they can be rare. Pokémon that need an evolution stone or a trade evolution can’t be found naturally on the Rorie Islands, so that is up to the trainers to do. Friendship evolutions can also happen in the wild as Pokémon can be friends with each other. Links are included with screenshots from the Pokémon Database showing the Pokémon types and evolutions if applicable. If the evolution isn’t shown, it’s not obtainable in the wild. Each island also has a Pokémon that is unique to the island.

Rhando Island

Rhando islands has large forests with a variety of trees, plains with a variety of plants, flowers and shrubs, and various streams and ponds. On the northside of the island is a rocky area with some shrubs, three hotsprings and a geyser that erupts every three hours. This area ends in steep cliffs and is a favoured look-out location for an ocean-view. On a clear day you can see Ornitan Island from here. There are two large cities called Mesperit City and Lilan Town. A Pokémon Academy is just outside Lilan town. Scattered around the island are several smaller villages, one of which is Grogan. Mesperit City Places of interest are: the port, a Pokémon Center, a Pokémon mart, a Tourist Center, the ground gym and a ground-themed contest hall, an art museum with paintings and pottery. Lilan Town Places of interest are: a Pokémon Center, a Pokémon Mart and a research facility/lab where the Pokémon professor is. Grogan Places of interest are: a Pokémon Center, a Tourist Center, a hotel, a garage that has a rental service to rent a jeep, and a Ponyta rental service to travel through the rocky area. Pokémon Academy For those who wish to learn the theory of being a trainer and practise their skill in a safe environment, this is the place to be. There are dormitories available for students, who can take beginner and intermediate classes to learn what it meant to be a trainer. This is also the place where a scientist can do theoretical and practical studies in the fields of history, geology, biology and Pokémon sciences. Trainers who are not enrolled in the academy can join in on guest lectures or have practice battles for free; a program is available at the front desk. Roads and travel times There is a main road that starts in Mesperit City in the south, goes through Lilan town, all the way to the village Grogan at the edge of the rocky area on the north side. A couple of side roads lead to various small villages that have no noteworthy buildings. It takes about 30 minutes to go from the port in Mesperit City to the centre of Lilan Town by car or bus at 80km/h. It’s another 45 minutes to go from Lilan Town to Grogan. It will take four hours to walk from Grogan to the lookout point at the northern point of the island. There is a house in the forest outside Mesperit city, walking there will take about 15-20 minutes from the edge of the city. Thomas Redcliff lives here, an old man who seems to know a lot about Pokémon. Pokémon The Pokémon found on this island are mostly normal, flying, grass, bug, ground and rock types. In the forest you can find a deep cave with some bat-like Pokémon, and ghost types at night.

Ornitan Island

Ornitan has lots of rivers, lakes, flower fields and grassland with shrubs and trees. The port city is called Watersleat, the two other villages are called Old Pond and Mollin. Several cabins are scattered around the island. Watersleat Places of interest are: the main port, a Pokémon Center, a Pokémon Mart, a Tourist Center, a shop selling diving equipment, a school for diving and boating licenses, the water gym and a water-themed contest hall. Old Pond Also known as the halfway town. Places of interest are: a Ranger’s base and a museum displaying maritime and plant-based fossils. Mollin Places of interest are: a small port mostly used by fishermen and scientists and a shrine of a Tentacruel. Roads and travel times The main road starts in Watersleat, goes through Old Pond and ends in Mollin. It takes about 35 minutes by car of bus at 80km/h to reach Old Pond from Watersleat, and another 40 minutes to reach Mollin. Side roads lead to the various cabins. Pokémon The Pokémon found on this island are mostly water, grass, flying and fairy types. Some ghost types have been spotted at night.

Resto Island

Resto island has an active volcano, and there are several lava tubes that once had lava flowing through them but are now used as caves. It has muddy beaches and most of the western part of the island is black solidified magma. On the east side are plains with shrubs, but the rocky underground doesn’t allow for trees to grow. The port village is called Poras and a hamlet near the volcano is called Stonethrow. On the east side of the island are two small villages, mostly inhabited by fishermen. Poras Places of interest are: the port, a Pokémon Center, a Pokémon Mart, a hotel, a Tourist Center. The Resto Rapidash Tour starts here. Stonethrow Places of interest are: a research station where geologists and volcanologists work and a Rangers base. Roads and travel times The fire gym and a fire-themed contest hall are located in a lava tube closest to the volcano, about 15 minutes walking distance from Stonethrow. The Resto Rapidash Tour stops at the entrance of the cave. The Resto Rapidash Tour is owned by a man named Peter and he offers a tour around the volcano in a wagon pulled by two Rapidash. He’ll take the tourists to four lookout points: the volcano, a shrine for Volcarona on the south side of the island, a shrine for a Tentacruel on the east side of the island, and a rock formation that resembles a Charizard on the north side of the island. The tour takes 10 hours and leaves from Poras at 8:00 and 18:00, and includes a lunch at a beach-side diner near the Tentacruel shrine. There are no cars or busses on this island and very few roads. People use Pokémon to go everywhere. Pokémon The Pokémon found on this island are mostly fire, rock, ground, electric and dark types. Some ghost types have been spotted at night.

Indelgy Island

Indelgy island has forests, plains and meadows. There are only two villages, but there are many farms and the domesticated Pokémon outnumber the residents of the island. The port village is called Prillis, the other village is called Hilltop. A forest clearing in the evor forest is said to be haunted. Prillis Places of interest are: the port, a Pokémon Center, a Pokémon Mart, a Tourist Center, a ceramic museum displaying Prillis Red pottery. Hilltop Places of interest are: a Ranger base, a yarn shop, a shop selling local produce (amongst others woollen clothes and blankets made of Mareep and Wooloo wool and food made of Moomoo milk), a pottery, the flying gym and a flying-themed contest hall. Roads and travel times The main road is between Prillis and Hilltop, it takes 50 minutes to travel between the places. Various small roads lead to the farms and one road leads to a garage for tractors and cars. Pokémon The Pokémon found on this island are mostly flying, bug, fairy, dark and normal types. Some ghost types have been spotted at night.

Pokémon that can be found on Indelgy

On the island are various farms large farms with the following Pokémon: Bouffalant, Mareep, Miltank, Mudbray, Ponyta (Galar and Kanto), Tauros (all breeds), Whimsicott, Wooloo. Evoru Island

Evoru island is the smallest of the islands, with a thick evor forest that has many streams and ponds. Some areas of the island are swamps. Most of the ground is covered in moss and light doesn’t reach it easily. The only grass area is where the city Evoru and the Pokémon League Stadium were built. Evoru City Places of interest are: the port, a Pokémon Center, a Pokémon mart, a Tourist Center, a museum about the geological history of the Rorie Islands and the history of the Rorie League, a stadium, a contest hall, the Rangers HQ, the Sea Rangers HQ. Pokémon It is not allowed to catch Pokémon on this island and rangers patrol the area, but you may catch Pokémon who live in the ocean or those you can find on the beach. One noteworthy group of Pokémon is a colony of Cyndaquil, the expert on them runs the Pokémon Mart.

Pokémon that can be found on Evoru

The coast and the ocean

Pokémon that can be found on/near the coast, beaches and ports, and that swim in the ocean: Arrokuda, Barboach, Basculin (red and blue), Carvhanna, Chinchou, Clamperl, Clauncher, Corpish, Cramorant, Dhelmise, Feebas, Finizen, Horsea, Krabby, Lapras, Magikarp, Remoraid, Seel, Shellder, Skrelp, Spheal, Staryu, Tentacool, Tentiva, Tynamo, Veluza, Wailmer, Wattrel, Wingull and Wishiwashi. Sometimes a shiny Gyarados or Milotic is spotted. Some Pokémon aren’t always swimming around the Rorie Islands, but pass through as they migrate. The Sea Rangers keep track of this.

Travel times between the islands

These are all direct routes from one island to another and the ferries are known to locals as commuter ferries. From Rhando it takes 1 hour to go to Ornitan, 2,5 hours to go to Resto, 3 hours to go to Indelgy and 4 hours to Evoru. From Ornitan it takes 1 hour to go to Rhando, 2 hours to go to Resto, 2 hours to go to Indelgy and 4 hours to go to Evoru. From Resto it takes 2.5 hours to go to Rhando, 2 hours to go to Ornitan, 1 hour to go to Indelgy and 2 hours to go to Evoru. From Indelgy it takes 3 hours to go to Rhando, 2 hours to go to Ornitan, 1 hour to go to Resto and 2 hours to go to Evoru. From Evoru it takes 4 hours to go to Rhando, 4 to go to Ornitan, 2 hours to go to Resto and 2 hours to go to Indelgy. The number of times a ferry departs depends on the travel time. For instance, the ferry to Evoru will leave only twice a day, but the ferry to Ornitan will depart six times. First departure is 8:00 and last departure is 20:00. Water taxi's are available, these are speedboats and will transport up to four people/Pokémon at once. Once a day a cruise ship will leave from Rhando that will go around the islands. It leaves on 8:00 and returns on 20:00. Tourists can buy food and drink on board, or bring their own, and will get information through the intercom about every island when they pass it. Some ticket-included activities on the cruise ship are: Pokémon themed playground for children, a swimming pool, a magician show, an Oricorio dance show, the Jigglypuff Flute concert (a Pokeflute player provides the melody for the Jigglypuff to sing on so no-one will fall asleep), an art gallery, a movie theatre (showing documentaries about the Rorie ecosystems, the Pokémon that live on all islands and the Pokémon that live in the ocean), a small roller coaster, a massage salon, a hairdresser, a haunted house (with some real ghost types) and a mirror maze. All ships have a limit of Pokémon height and weight, generally speaking Pokémon up to the height and weight of an adult human are allowed outside their Pokéballs, others should be kept in during the travel unless the owner bought a ticket for them. Those that pose a risk due to exposed flames, sharp edges on their body or a tendency to explode are likewise not allowed outside their Pokéballs. Be cautious with very light Pokémon as the winds are strong on the ocean.

The gym leaders/contest judges, and other NPC

These are all my oc's and have been used in RP's and fanfics. Please don't use them without permission. Some NPC's can only be found at a certain location, others roam freely over the islands and may pop up when needed. Gym leaders/Contest judges
 • Henri Tenson lives on Rhando in Mesperit City. He is the leader of the Rorie League, the ground gym leader and the ground contest judge.
 • Alana Landrieu lives on Ornitan in Watersleat. She is a shopowner, the water gym leader and the water contest judge.
 • Liah McLean lives on Resto in a remodelled lava tube. She is a volcanologist, the fire gym leader and the fire contest judge.
 • Blake Johnson lives on Indelgy in Hilltop. He is a cemarist, the flying gym leader and the flying contest judge.
Other NPC's:
 • Professor Maple: a middle-aged woman and head of the research facility in Lilan Town.
 • Thomas Redcliff: an old man living in the forest of Rhando Island, just outside Mesperit City. No-one knows much about him, but he seems to keep several Pokémon at his house. He's often seen with a Houndoom by his side.
 • Charlie Johnson: father of Blake, owner of the Pokémon Mart on Evoru island with his wife Naomi and expert on the Cyndaquil colony.
 • Andy Bansing: the most handsome and talented researcher anyone has ever seen! (or so he claims) An adult male works for Professor Maple, gives lectures at the Pokémon Academy and is a childhood friend of Henri Tenson.
 • Jolin Kaldara: the head of the Pokémon Rangers HQ on Evoru.
More will be added if the RP needs it. Nurse Joy and Officer Jenny can be found on every island and can be used freely by the players.

Battling and the league

Pokémon battles in this RP are done anime style, and Pokémon can know more than four moves. While your Pokémon can have abilities and held items, this RP will be less about counting stats or HP and more about creativity. Like in the anime, Pokémon can use their surroundings to their advantage and be creative with their attacks. Every official gym battle, including the League, will be fought with 3 Pokémon. The League is themed around the four basic elements (water, fire, air and earth), and the gyms represent each of the elements. While you may use any Pokémon you want to defeat the gym leaders, you may only use the types Ground, Water, Fire and Flying in the actual League. Dual types are accepted as well, but they must have the right types when they fight. For instance, if Dartrix evolves to Decidueye it loses the type it needs the compete and the battle is stopped. When this happens the trainer can choose another Pokémon to take its place, but this counts as the same Pokémon. With that I mean that battles are done with 3 Pokémon per trainer, and switching because a Pokémon evolved and lost the correct type(s), doesn't mean the Pokémon lost, so a trainer may choose a 4th Pokémon to take the place of the other Pokémon. That being said, since Rowlet is native to the islands, they are aware of what happens to the final evolution and trainers can get a free everstone in the Pokémon Center of Evoru when the League is being held. When it comes to items, megastones and tera orbs, and anything that can alter the type of your Pokémon, are not allowed to be used during the Rorie League. There is no 'Elite Four', you will battle the four gym leaders and then you can participate in the Rorie League. There is no set order for the gyms, you can challenge them in any order you wish. Ferries go to and from all island, and the ferries are free to Pokémon trainers with a Pokédex from any region. The gym leaders all have their own jobs as well. The gym leaders Henri and Alana will generally open their gyms in the afternoon, Blake tends to hold gym battles in the morning, and Liah will do them throughout the day.

Contests

Just like the League, the Rorie Contest is themed around the four elements. In each city that has a gym there is also a contest hall and only Pokémon of the type of the hall can enter a contest. Dual types are allowed, but more points will be given to attacks of the right type. There will be 1 contest every day, and each day it will be on a different island. Contests are always at 19:00h. With four ribbons, a trainer can join the contest finals on Evoru, where all four types are allowed. You can use megastones and tera orbs for the contest, but only if it doesn't change the type of your Pokémon. Changing into a dual type is allowed, as long as the original type is still present.

Lore

Dartrix: Dartrix is known to evolve in two different forms and scientists suspect it has something to do with when the egg hatched: if the Rowlet hatched during dawn/daytime it evolves in the grass/fighting variant. If the Rowlet hatched during dusk/nighttime it evolves in the grass/ghost variant. Evor tree: The evor tree grows on all islands except for Resto; it has red blossoms in the spring, dark green leaves in the summer and it produces the orange evor fruit in the autumn, which resembles apples in consistency and taste. It’s a tree species that doesn’t grow anywhere else on the world. A forest of evor trees is always dark, as the foliage is thick and doesn’t let a lot of light through. The evor trees grow best in areas with high levels of ground water. The ground in forests like these is often covered with moss. Tentacruel shrine: A shrine dedicated to Tentacruel. A Tentacruel who is larger than average swims in the ocean between the islands. When it storms it helps fishing boats reach the port safely. Ghost flame Cyndaquil colony: The Cyndaquil in this colony look like average Cyndaquil, but their flames are purple and they don’t burn plants. It’s unknown what caused this variation and they are a protected species. (For visualisation, think generation 2 shiny Cyndaquil and Hisuian Typlosion) Goomy: Goomy is known to evolve in two different forms and scientists suspect it has something to do with where the egg hatched: if the Goomy hatched and it touched water it will evolve into the pure dragon type. If it hatched touching rock it evolves in the dragon/steel type. Miserene: It is said that when a Hattrem wanders into the haunted clearing on a foggy night and the Misdreavus sing, it evolves in Miserene. Prillis Red pottery: Prillis Red pottery (also known as Prillisware or Prillis porcelain) is a white tin-glazed ceramic pottery with red decorations, usually depicting Pokémon. Rainbow Cyndaquil: It is said that when a fire Pokémon finds a feather of Ho-Oh and is approached by the legendary bird in a dream, they can choose to gain its blessing. With the blessing comes two abilities. One is the attack Sacred Fire. The other is the Rainbow Flame. If a fire Pokémon uses the Rainbow Flame, their attack won’t damage grass types, but can hurt water and rock. Their newfound power comes with the downside that they can no longer evolve. On Evoru there is at least one Rainbow Cyndaquil. RFC: The Rorie Ferries and Cruise ships organisation. The RFC is one of the sponsors of the Rorie League and allows registered trainers to use the ferries that travel between the islands for free. Treempa: It is said that when a Drampa eats leafs of an evor tree that was cursed by Phantump, it will evolve into Treempa. Volcarona shrine: A shrine dedicated to Volcarona. It was made after the sun was blocked due to a massive volcano eruption and Volcarona’s fire replaced the sunlight for the islands.

Hiii I have a question I know the six-Pokemon per team applies, but: 1) Can we have other Pokémon out that aren't on our team (just like, to, y'know, roam around because I don't want to keep a particular character in a box). 2) Speaking of which, can we have extra Pokemon in our boxes?

You can have extra Pokémon in a box, or, as it's done in the anime, with your Pokémon Professor. Every Pokémon Center has a computer that allows you to exchange Pokémon from your current team with the ones held by your professor. As for the first question, are you talking about a team of 6+1, and the extra doesn't have a Pokéball?

Okay, the first question didn't much sense, and I just realized that, so I nvm. However, I do have several (albeit kind of stupid) questions that have almost definitive answers, but I figured I might as well try them anyways: 1. Are retypes of Pokemons allowed? For example, I have a fighting-electric type Raichu instead of just electric. 2. Are Megas/Z-Moves/Terestrializing allowed? 2a. If so, are permanently mega-d Pokemon allowed (like how PFQ does it) allowed? 3. Are legendaries/mythicals/paradoxes/alphas allowed, whether on teams or in boxes? 3a. If so, how many? Is there a limit? 4. How many Pokemon are allowed in boxes? My trainer OC has a BUNCH (or I'm planning on having her having a bunch), so is there a limit? (Sorry for so many questions >w<)

Thank you, Lysium. Your character is accepted.
ShootingStarRain: 1) No, we stick to the Pokémon as they appeared in the official games/anime. 2) Any special transformations that are exclusive to a game and canonically rely on an energy source found in a certain region can't be used on the Rorie Islands. Z-Power is a form of energy found in the Alola region and relies on the existence of Ultra Wormholes. These wormholes never formed in the Rorie region, so Z-Power is not possible here. Mega-evolutions are allowed if you bring a mega stone with you, you can't find them on the Rorie Islands. Like in the games, a mega-evolution is only temporary. If your character has a Tera Orb they can Terastallize. However, it has to make sense why your character has a Tera Orb (I doubt they are handed out to trainers who never attended the Paldean Academy). It's also not allowed to use them during the Rorie League. 3) No legendaries or mythical unless it's canonically established or commonly accepted there is more than one of its species. If a legendary or mythical Pokémon is unique and is in charge of keeping the world in balance, you can't have that one. Paradoxes can be allowed if it makes sense your character has them (meaning your character either comes from Paldea or has spent a significant amount of time there). Alphas only appeared in Hisui and the Rorie Islands are in the present time. Any Pokémon from present-day regions can be used by your character if it makes sense your character has them. For instance, if your trainer is from Kanto and never travelled outside the region, you will need to explain how it got Pokémon that are exclusive to other regions. And if you choose to have a legendary in your team, you will have to include in your history how you got it and it shouldn't be too easy. "I befriended all these legendaries" will not be enough. 4) Box space is similar to the official games, however since the RP is more based on the anime, it depends on how many Pokémon you think your Pokémon Professor can house.
Edit: I made some additions to the rules and how the league works based on the answers above.

Hi! This seems really cool :] Name: Miss Chefi Age: 23 Rank: Student Appearance: A tall woman, with a wardrobe that usually consists of sundresses and light sweaters. She is almost always wearing some kind of brimmed hat, whether it be a sunhat or a ball cap, to keep the sun off her face. Location of origin: Alola History: Her parents were from Kanto, but moved to Alola when she was 6, with money from a minor lottery win. Her father gave her his Gengar's egg, which she hatched all by herself into a Gastly at the age of 12. After a good 3 years of adventuring all over Alola's islands, she came back home with multiple new friends and a fascination with Ghost types. After coming home, she spent a while at home to take care of her aging parents. Once her siblings were responsible enough to do it themselves, she left for the Rorie Islands for school. She's currently studying to be a Pokemon Professor, and has the big dreams of owning one of every Ghost type Pokemon. Party: Gengar, Mimikyu, Rotom (Base forme), Chandelure, Trevenant, Misdreavus

Welcome to Rorie Islands, I'll add your character to the list.
Name: Pandora Starlings Age: 17 Rank L-Trainer - she has battle one league (well, she barely made it honestly), so she decided to continue training by battling in the Rorie Islands! Appearance: A female with black hair and red eyes; she also has one of those bunny-ears bandanna on her head that is red. Usually wears something bright and eye-catching. Location of origin: She was actually born in a region that I created called Cynia, but for this RP-purposes, she moved to Paldea shortly after she was born and was raised there. History: She was raised in Paladea for several years, or at least long enough to recieve her starter, a Meowscarada. Then she left Uva Academy where she had been studying for just a few years to go to Galar where she trained up for the league. She never did beat Galar's league but she returned to Paldea prior to the defeat and managed to defeat that league and gain access to Area Zero (in my timeline, the whole fiasco where the Professors and time machine has been altered slightly, or a future diversion; the machine has been taken over by Professors at the Academy and is now under control...sorta). Anyway, after she managed to defeat Paldea's league, she decided to leave Uva again...to continue her studies in the Rorie Islands. It's sorta complicated, but basically she has un-registered herself from Uva but plan to come back and has informed the principal/school people so, however, offically is she is now out of the school records and has come to the Rorie Islands of her own accord. Party: - Rose, her starter and a slightly aggressive/protective Meowscarada - Whitney, a female Alteria and her second Pokemon, caught in Paldea shortly after getting Rose. She has a Altarianite and can mega-evolve her - Maya, a Primarina she caught as a Poppolio whilst on summer vacation, purely by accident (she threw a ball in panic, and Maya, being off guard, kinda got caught) - Kai, or K for short, a Ceruledge caught after her return to Paldea after the whole Galar league thing. He is very newly evolved. - Cayden, a Lucario whom was caught in the Galar region as a Rilou. He lowkey kind of hates Pandora when he was first caught, although he tolerates her better now. - River, a Miradon. She has a whole story for this...

How She Caught River

So basically, once, she was on a field trip for certain trainers in Area Zero. She got lost/snuck off on her own and ended up stumbling into a Miradon, which is River. River and her ended up staring at each other for a solid minute before Pandora panicked and let Lumi, her Aurorus out. At this, the timid Miradon started to run away. In her panic, Pandora order Lumi to attack River with Stone Edge. By some miracle, it actually hit. With River being a electric-type, this damaged her a good amount. After that, Pandora order another Stone Edge, which managed to hit due to River's state. By then, River was heavily injured. Apparently, River was pretty weak for a Miradon. Anyway, after Pandora realized that she had hurt River badly, she decided to catch her and bring her to her professor. Which, she did. Her professor immediately sent the Pokemon to a Pokemon center and Pandora got a pretty strict hearing. Afterwards though, River fully healed and Pandora visted every day. She decided to keep River, and although River seems annoyed by her at times, she does like Pandora too and is willing to be one of her partners
Boxes: Dewgong (Sierra, caught as Seel in Paldea), Oricorio (also caught on the short trip to Alola, because of her low-level she was fairly easy to catch), Ribombee (yeah, that was a two-month summer vacation and Pandora was very bored and defeat a bunch of Cutieflies...by dousing with poison), Salazzle (Clara, found in Paldea and caught there), Houndoom (Septhis, caught in Paldea as a Houndour), Whimiscot (caught in Galar), Hatterene (Lucy, caught in Galar), shiny Froslass (Demetria, caught and evolved in Galar), Aurorus (Lumi, caught in Paldea as a Amaura), and Decidueye (Willow, a depressed and injured Dartrix she found in Alola. She rescued him when he was heavily injuried and kept him every since).

Raziya's Avatar
I've been thinking about this for a while and I think I'd like to try it out. Name: Raziya Jasanni Age: 40 Rank (L-trainer, RR-trainer, Ranger, Breeder, Coordinator, Scientist, Student, Tourist): A wannabe Nurse Joy who was unable to cut it emotionally after day in and day out watching Pokemon come in critically wounded or suffering. Now works quietly as a breeder, with the hope of bringing her gentle touch to the Rorie Islands. Appearance: Raziya (or Razi as she normally goes by) has short, tousled reddish brown hair, extremely fair skin, and green eyes. She puts the bare minimum effort into her appearance, chosing to embrace her small creases and wispy, stray grey hairs as she is aging. She smiles a lot and speaks with a soft, almost melodic voice that puts scared people or Pokemon at ease. She has rectangular glasses that she needs to wear as without them she is legally blind. She enjoys wearing sleeveless dresses with leggings or a casual T-shirt/jeans, in cooler colors like blues and purples. She is overweight but comfortable with her body, and will often let fresh hatchlings snuggle within her belly or chest. Location of origin: Razi was born and raised in Alola, from HeaHea City. History: Razi spent her childhood as many children on Alola do, by learning from Professor Kukui - though she struggled with Pokemon battles. She was more interested in wandering around the island, looking for small and injured Pokemon and bringing them home, much to her mom's chagrin. Instead of battling to catch, she would like to sing to them instead, her silly songs ringing through the thick vegetation. She did this until she was 16 or so, with various Pokemon coming and going through her home (along with a Rowlet given her to by Kukui, that she has left with her mom.) At 16 she had a chance encounter that would alter her trajectory through life at a Pokemon center. A trainer came in with their balls smashed and threw them at the Nurse Joy before angrily storming out. Razi had been bringing her Rowlet in for the umpteenth time as she was not the best battler, and overheard the commotion. There was one ball that was not totally destroyed that had rolled into a corner of the center. It had a large crack, exposing a bright yellow Pokemon inside. Razi gently cradled the ball and brought it over to Nurse Joy, who had been trying to assist the Pokemon that has been inside the crushed balls. Those Pokemon perished but the ball Razi brought her survived, and inside was an unusual yellow Caterpie. Ever since that incident Razi begged Nurse Joy to show her how to help Pokemon heal as she had been able to heal the yellow Caterpie. Finally, she got her wish at 18 and started training diligently to become a Nurse Joy herself, and working with her was a scared but beautiful Butterfree who no longer could go inside a ball due to what happened to her. But as the years wore on, both Razi and her Butterfree, Iris, were worn down from the day in and day out struggle of watching Pokemon cry, suffer, and even die regardless of how hard they worked. So at 24, Razi left the Pokemon Center and started to wander the islands with Iris, unsure of what she was going to do. Seeing so much hurt had made her terrified to battle; the thought of her beloved Butterfree being harmed was too much to bear. But from death comes new life - upon coming across a nesting Talonflame and watching her Fletchings being born, Razi realized what she was meant to do and went to work for the Pokemon Daycare. She quickly became in such demand that she opened her own traveling breeding and maternity service for Pokemon, and began traveling to other regions to assist with tough breeding cases and trying to find a permanent base for her dream - a breeding and Pokemon shelter for all Pokemon too scared or hurt to fight. During her travels through Paldea she heard about the Rorie Islands from one of the teachers at the academy and decided to make the trip. Party: Razi only has two Pokemon that are with her - her shiny female Butterfree Iris, and a Joltik that was left behind during a failed breeding attempt that she named Sproing. Many Pokemon come and go through her care but as she has no interest in battling she hasn't kept any others long term. Iris never goes into a pokeball due to what happened when she was young. Sproing happily bounces around while she works but will stay in a ball without protest if needed. As mentioned previously, she was given a Rowlet from Kukui but gave him to her mother as she was an accomplished battler and he bonded with her.
