Jirachi Available for Download from Nintendo Wi-Fi

For those who missed the Jirachi giveaway from Gamestop, the wishmaker Jirachi will be available as a Mystery Gift download on the Nintendo Wi-Fi until July 16th, 2010. Jirachi will unlock the Night Sky’s Edge PokeWalker course in HeartGold and SoulSilver.
These Jirachis will be at level 5 and will be holding an rare Liechi Berry that will boost its attack when its HP is low. They will come with a Classic Ribbon and know the following moves:

Wish
Confusion
Rest
Draco Meteor, which is a very powerful Dragon type move that cannot be taught to Jirachi any other way

For Diamond, Pearl or Platinum, if you have received mystery gifts before then you are ready to go. Just click on MYSTERY GIFT on the opening screen, then RECEIVE GIFT, then GET VIA NINTENDO WFC and it will load the Wonder Card on to your game.
If you have yet to receive a mystery gift, go to the 3rd floor in Jubilife TV. Talk to the man next to a lady and type in “everyone happy” as a response to his first question and type in “wi-fi connection” to the next question. Save your game and when you restart it the MYSTERY GIFT option box will appear below NEW GAME on the opening screen.

    As per usual you will need to have:

  • Room for the wonder card (can’t have more than three) and you can’t have previously received the Jirachi wonder card
  • A Diamond, Pearl or Platinum and a DS
  • Have obtained the Pokedex
  • A wireless connection setup (use the box below MYSTERY GIFT to establish your connection settings)

Unlike previous pokémon games, HeartGold and SoulSilver have the Mystery Gift box visible on the opening screen to start the game. Just scroll down below the CONNECT TO POKéWALKER box, click on the MYSTERY GIFT box, click RECEIVE GIFT and click GET VIA NINTENDO WFC.
You must have:

  • A HeartGold or SoulSilver game and a DS
  • Obtained the pokedex from Prof. Elm
  • Room for the wonder card (can’t have more than three)
  • A wireless connection setup (use the box below MYSTERY GIFT to establish your connection settings)

Pokemon Farming: New Years Special

Jirachi

Happy New Year!

This morning is New Years Day and we have a very special Pokemon to offer up to our loyal readers. This Pokemon is a very rare event Pokemon that can not be caught in any of the Pokemon games. How did I get so many of them for this bit of farming? I spent many grueling days with a copy of Ruby and the Pokemon Colosseum Bonus Disc. I had to restart the Ruby game and play for about 10 minutes to reach the point where I could download the Jirachi into the game. Yeah, it took me a long time to do this for all of you but I think it was worth it.

Jirachi

    Serene Grace: Boosts the likelihood of added effects appearing.
    Move Set

  • Wish – Normal – Status: A self-healing move. The user restores its own HP by up to half of its maximum HP in the next turn.
  • Confusion – Psychic, Power 50 and Accuracy 100%: The foe is hit by a weak telekinetic force. It may also leave the foe confused.
  • Rest – Psychic, Status: The user goes to sleep for two turns. It fully restores the user’s HP and heals any status problem.

Jirachi’s main problem is Ground and Fire Pokemon. Jirachi suffers double damage from Ground and Fire attacks. Fire Attacks should not be much of a problem as many people who use Fire Pokemon use Blaziken and Infernape which are Fighting/Fire Pokemon.

I only have a few of these to trade (less than 10) so it is first come, first served. Be sure to follow the rules as listed below and DO NOT double comment.
