Pokemon Farming: Chikorita

Back by popular demand!
One of the most common requests we get here at PokeFarm is for the Johto starters. While I was busy this weekend getting the forums upgraded I had a little bit of time to breed some Chikorita for trading.
I did not have a lot of time to devote to getting them an awesome move set so I instead focused on getting them to all have Grass moves.
- Move Set
- Razor Leaf
- Synthesis
- Giga Drain
- Leach Seed
The interesting thing about Chikorita is the difficulty in catching one. Because Nintendo and Game Freak have not seen fit to release a GBA or DS version of the johto games the only way to acquire one is by catching its evolved form in Pokemon Colosseum, filling your Pokedex in Emerald or Leaf Green/Fire Red or winning 100 battle in a row in the Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness Battle Mountain. This makes Chikorita almost as rare as an event Pokemon!
If you look below you will see that this is going to be a daytime trade session. These little grass guys will be traded before I eat lunch!
I would also like to tell all of you that the new forums have a calendar feature that we will be using to let you know in advance what Pokemon we will be farming.
Rules
1. I don’t care what you trade me though I would prefer a non-Sinnoh Pokemon.
2. The Pokemon you trade to me must be holding something.
3. I prefer berries over all other items.
4. The only exception to berries are the two items that Magby/Elekid hold when caught in the wild.
5. For berries I need: 60+.
6. When you leave your information in the comments below your trainer name must be correct. When I do the trading I refer to the comments on the site to see who gets what.
7. When you enter the Wi-Fi zone select the trade option and wait for me to select you.
8. If you can, be early. I am sometimes on early.
9. Don’t be afraid to trade amongst yourselves.

The details are all posted up top, but here is a quick note.
1. Add Trainer: Ezekial Friend Code: 0559 3242 3898 to your Pal Pad
2. Have a spare Pokemon and optional, but be nice have it holding something.
3. Go into the WiFI trade hit Invite and Trade then sit back and wait.

I believe Atlantic time would be 12:00, here is how to check. See your clock in the bottom corner of your pc screen? Double click it. When the window pops up select the tab saying Time Zone. Now yours should already be set to Atlantic time. Select Eastern time and hit apply, I believe you are an hour ahead of Eastern time.

What do you mean when you say “For berries I need: 60+.” sorry for so many questions
Berries he needs 60+. When you look at the berry section of your Pokebag there is a number beside them. He needs any berry that is numbered 60 or higher. However I think those berries are Event berries or obtained in a special way which I do not know of.
what if i dont have a berry + 60? and would an eevee be ok?
The highest berry i have is 35

You really need to read the original thread. It says any pokemon, but prefer non-Sinnoh, must have an item, prefers berries and needs 60+.
It really has the answers to every question you asked in the main post, except for the time difference question.

I have just added all of you to my PalPad and I will soon be entering the wi-fi- zone.
The Pokemon you trade to me does not HAVE to have a hold item but it is appreciated if it does. We especially like evolution hold items because it allows us to eventually have a farming event where you get the Pokemon and the evolution item.
Personally I only need a few more berries to have them all. I need berries numbered 60, 61, 62 and anything higher than 64 (if they exist).

Hey can i have some help? if i put a boy leafeon and a girl chickorita in the day care, what will i get?
nothing? they won’t mate i don’t think.. they’re from different egg groups aren’t they? chickorita is a monster/plant but leafeon is a ground.
so i will not get an egg? What can i breed chickorita with?
try maybe like a roserade or a roselia or somethuing

If your Chikorita is a female, you can breed it with any pokemon of the same egg type to get a chikorita egg. If you have a male, you have to catch a ditto (available after Elite 4) to get chikorita eggs.
how and where can i get a ditto?

in emerald, u have to beat the game, then go to one of the caves and there will be tons of em.
check down the bottom and find the 2 drop down lists of monster/plant pokes that chikorita will happily egg away with:

one time i had a female combusken and it got along with a male loudred. now i started a new game and tried it again and it didn’t work! i guess all pokemon are unique after all?
