Latios10, let me start by saying this: Ditto is a no gender, strictly breeder pokemon. Regardless of gender for the eevee you breed, it will always produce an egg.

Here are some real breeding tips:

{+} Pokemon breeding perfects itself through generation breeding. The first gen. will always be your testing generation based on stat performance straight from the egg. 1,2,3,4 on any stats are terrible and should never be used for breeding. 5 is average, and should only be used if you have no better stats. 6 is good, and should be used if you have no better stats (and also if it's the predominant number). 7,8 is wonderful and unless every other stat is 4 or below then you want to breed that pokemon and try to get predominant 7-8's down the line. Though this usually only comes out after excessive and patient breeding.

{+} Moves carry on through generations from the MALE side. So if you have a move you want passed down to your baby pokemon, make sure it's the male that has it. If you're cross breeding pokemon, remember that the female of whatever pokemon you breed will be what the baby is (unless you use a ditto).

{+} Remember what strengths and weaknesses your pokemon possess. If you are breeding, let's say, an Abra (I use this example because he relies solely on his Sp. Attack) then you're going to want to have a baby that already has high Sp. Attack and Speed, regardless of other stats which just don't grow naturally. Opposite that, we have something that relies mostly on attack such as Machop, who has a naturally low Sp. Attack and a naturally high Attack.

These are just some of the basics for becoming a good breeder. Remember that a good breeder knows how to utelize good pokemon, and good pokemon make for fun battles and better strategy. For more of my tips and tricks, e-mail me at Author_Chick@hotmail.com

Actually, it doesn't matter whether you start from baby or from evolved form. Ability scores will remain the same at any level in the evolved form.
