PokeFarm: Forum News

Previously - some of you have participated in discussions on the forums that were designed to go along with the Pokemon Farming at hmtk.com. I’d like to first thank those of you whose interests go a bit beyond the casual reader of the farming articles and have taken time to participate fully in our community. I urge others to do the same, as we have a LOT planned for pokefarm.com; not the least of which is continuing to farm great Pokemon.

As you may have noticed the farming aspect has split completely away from HMTK, and as such, so have the forums. We now have a new forum established at forum.pokefarm.com which will continue to see improvements as time allows. Hopefully soon you will see that the theme will closely resemble this home page in color scheme and graphic nature.

You’ll also notice that your old logins won’t work on this new forum. Due to problems we had on the old format, we’ve decided to go with a completely clean slate. What does that mean?

  • You’ll have to create a new account.
  • You’ll have a chance to designate your favorite pokemon as your avatar.
  • Private messages WORK! *woohoo*
  • Streamlined forums and active forum management personnel.

Here are some of the things we plan on doing on the forums specifically. (If I learn enough php to pull it off)

  • Special Trainer Name and Friend Code fields for easy battling/trading
  • Layout to match that of pokefarm.com
  • Avatars to include all 493 Pokemon
  • Keep a tight knight and mature management team who genuinely upkeep the site only because they love the Pokaymons.

So please, create an account at the forum site linked at the top of this page if you’d like a little more insight to our world or have any suggestions at all. For those of you who don’t know, the following members are the staff at the forums.

There is plenty of space on the forums for any questions or suggestions so please don’t be shy about posting it, we’re doing this site for you, we want to be sure it keeps your interest as well as ours!

The new site and forums are great. I really hope everyone makes the jump over, so it gets filled up like the other was. You and your farmers have done a very nice job.

What I like best is how professional and respectable everyone is here. I can sit down by myself or with my kids and not worry about what they will read or see. I’ve browsed other forums for info, and you see swearing and other junk, that’s just not appropriate.

Keep up the great work here!

P.S. If you’ve noticed in the forums I am going by Trevor now, that’s always been me. Elijah is my 5 yr. old son that I started playing the game for and have since been completely hooked.

We try to run a very clean site here. My 8 year old daughter also spends time on here and I don’t want it to turn into a place where I do not want her to be.

Pokemon is clearly a game marketed towards kids so we keep that in mind. We know that the good parents out there watch where their kids go online so we wanted to make a place where parents would feel safe letting their kids go.

Definitely. I have been considering (Now that she’s decently far enough in her game) letting her come on and take advantage of some of the farming events.

I would have no problems letting her on this site now, and will work to keep it that way as long as I can.

That is what makes Pokefarm different than so many other sites out there. Most of us who farm have kids! We want Pokefarm to be a place where they can go.

steve i still cant do it can u make me a file with the following info plz?
username- joeyb or joeyburk
e-mail- urs or something so i can be accepted
password- the e-mail with this file with the @sbcglobal.net taken out of it
signature-i have extras of all legendaries except mew,mewtwo,and,regirock. WIll trade 4 almost anything
and the preferences are all fine except for the one where a new window opens up when u get a private message plz turn it off.
if u could do this for me it would be gr8.

Steve, my confirmation email hasn’t come in yet either - I checked my spam folder and i didn’t get filtered into there, so I don’t know if it’s just really (REALLY) slow, or if maybe something’s not functioning correctly?

One thing you might want to be sure you check is your junk mail. A lot of times automated emails will be sent to your junk mail automatically.

Make sure you check that!
