All About Tera Shards
Stellar Days and Stellar Ways
With the end of the Paldea Pokémon drops comes a brand new mechanic- Tera Shards, a special new item that can be used in an interesting way for those fond of Delta hunting. This short guide will tell you everything you need to know about Tera Shards and the Stellar type in PokéFarm, with a useful chart to help you keep track of your owned Shards! If there is any information that is missing or incorrect, please let me know so I can update the post!
What Are Tera Shards?
Tera Shards are shards of Terastal energy in the Paldea region. Each one corresponds to one of the 18 Pokémon types- with a special 19th one that has the power of every type. In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, they're used to change a Pokémon's Tera Type, which is the main gimmick of those games. However, Terastalization isn't in PokéFarm, so they're instead used to change the type of your Delta Pokémon! Gone are the days of hatching a Delta with an unwanted type- you are now able to change it with just one Tera Shard of the type you want! To use your Tera Shards, head over to Holon and go to the Items tab. At the bottom of the page, you'll be able to select a Delta Pokémon as well as the type of Tera Shard to use. Click Use, and voila- your Delta Pokémon has changed types!Collecting Tera Shards
Tera Shards can't be obtained on just any old day- to get them, it must be a Stellar V~Wave day, which will be explained in the next section. Any Eggs hatched during a Stellar V~Wave have a very small - around 1% - chance to drop a Tera Shard corresponding to one of its types along with the Gems you would usually get. During a Ravyne Bonus Day, this chance is boosted by a currently unknown amount. This makes them rather hard to find, and could be a bit annoying if you only get Shards of one type, but other players can of course help you out! I'd recommend making a thread in the Trade forums asking to swap out your excess Shards for other types of Shards. Here is a helpful chart I made to lay out which Shards you have, so you can go ahead and start right now if you wish!My Tera Shards | ||

Stellar V~Wave
The Stellar V~Wave allows players to get Tera Shards when hatching Eggs. It's a special V~Wave that only happens across the week of Type Race- every second full week of the month. During this time, a few things happen:- The EXP gained by every Pokémon is boosted by 20% regardless of type, rather than the normal 50% EXP boost to one type of Pokémon.
- You can't exchange Delta Points for Z-Fragments at Holon.
- The type of a hatched Delta Pokémon isn't influenced by the V~Wave.
- Tournaments that call for things matching the V~Wave will accept any type.
Terapagos, the Tera Pokémon
Terastal energy, Tera Shards, and the Stellar type all come from the power of Terapagos. You can get one by using a Stellar Crystal, which is unlocked after completing 2/3 of the Paldea EggDex. You don't need a Terapagos to get Tera Shards. Terapagos has a unique, more powerful form that requires Tera Shards to obtain. Once you collect one of all 18 standard type Tera Shards, you can fuse them together at Holon into a Stellar Tera Shard, which is used to change Terapagos into its Terastal form! (Note that Stellar form Terapagos is not in the game.)And that's All About Tera Shards! If you have any questions, feel free to ask them here so someone can help out!
idk if these are dumb questions, but does the stellar tera shard have any other purpose than a forme change item? could it be used to change the delta type of your pokemon to some special type?
