Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Part 2
February 27, 2008 | 17 Comments

Nintendo has just announced release dates for the newest Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games; Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness. Unlike the previous Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games these will only be on the Nintendo DS and will available on 04/20/08.
From Nintendo:
In this pair of action-packed adventures, players journey as actual Pokémon through a fantastic land untouched by humans. Before the game starts, players take a test to help them figure out which of 16 Pokémon best represents their personalities. Players then experience their adventure through the eyes of a Pokémon as they explore the land and embark on an epic journey through time and darkness. They talk and team up with other Pokémon to set out on an epic voyage while navigating an endless array of randomly generated dungeons. More than 490 Pokémon populate these new games, guaranteeing strategic, intense battles and infinite possibilities, no matter which Pokémon players become. To widen their circle of Pokémon friends, Nintendo® Wi-Fi Connection lets users engage in wireless rescue operations and send alerts to their friends via e-mail or mobile text message. “Only the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series lets players experience the thrill of actually becoming a Pokémon character,” said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. “It’s a unique perspective that delights both longtime Pokémon fans and newcomers alike.” Fans of the two previous Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games, Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team, will marvel at the greatly enhanced graphics, new story and grand adventure in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness. For Game Boy® Advance owners, the fresh look and wireless aspects of these new Pokémon titles provide even more reasons to upgrade to Nintendo DS. And best of all for budget-conscious parents, Nintendo DS is also able to play the entire library of Game Boy Advance games.
I enjoyed the last two Mystery Dungeon games (for a while) but what I found lacking was the multi-player component of Pokemon games. No breeding, battling or trading was present in the first run of these games.
I am very curious to see how the wireless connectivity of these new games pan out.

If you purchased Pokemon Battle Revolution than you have probably heard about the Mystery Gifts you can unlock in that game. For one thing you can get a “Surfing” Pikachu once you beat the game.
Rumors have been going wild around the Internet about other Mystery Gift Pokemon that can be unlocked in the game, this is one of them.
Until recently the only way to get this Pokemon was in the North American release of the Pokemon Battle Revolution game. Nintendo has just released the codes for the European release! Enjoy!

Everyone’s Pokemon Ranch
February 26, 2008 | 8 Comments
A while back we reported on the upcoming Wii Ware Pokemon title Pokemon Farm/Ranch. Some new information about this title has just come out. If you read Japanese you can go directly here. If, like most of us in the Western World, you do not, then you can read on…
The release date for Japan is set for early March 2008. It will likely be one of the Wii Ware launch titles in Japan. No word on an American release date or the Wii Points cost.
So, what is Everyone’s Pokemon Ranch? It is a mixture of Pokemon Box and Pokemon Snap!

Known features
- Store up to 1,000 of your Pokemon. You will transfer them via local wireless from your Diamond and/or Pearl games.
- Sort Pokemon on your DS cartridge as you were able to do in Pokemon Box.
- Interact with your Pokemon on the ranch using your Mii.
- Take pictures of your Pokemon on the Ranch and send them to your Wii Message Board. No word on if you can email them as you can with Pokemon Snap! images.
I have a copy of Pokemon Box for the Game Cube and I have long been waiting for an update to that piece of software. Sadly, my copy of Pokemon Box is from the UK so I have to use a Free Loader disc in my Game Cube to use it. This also means I can not use my Pokemon Box on my Wii.
Right now I have extra copies of the DS Pokemon games in my home to facilitate all of the extra storage space I need for my Pokemon. I probably already have over 1,000 Pokemon on my carts but knowing I will soon be able to send them all to the farm fills me with glee.
When Pokemon Battle Revolution came out I was hoping for an RPG element or a Pokemon Box element to be added to the game. No luck, all we got was a battle environment that was not really needed. We already could battle using Wi-Fi on the DS.
Everyone’s Pokemon Ranch looks to be a great successor to Pokemon Box and I eagerly await its release.
Pokemon Farming: Numel
February 15, 2008 | 45 Comments
**ATTENTION!**LOOK!**
Because of the wifi outage for everyone, I’m going to reschedule for Sunday (tomorrow) the 17th at 12pm. I hope it is working by then! If anyone has any questions or comments, comment here or PM me (TheTaterTot) on our forums. Sorry again everyone!
**ATTENTION! READ ABOVE!**
This time in Pokemon Farming: Numel, the Numb Pokemon.
Numel is a sweet little camel-like fella, with lava oozing from it’s hump. You can find it near volcanoes, like Stark Mountain, where it fits perfectly in, it’s type being Ground and Fire. He is even full of lava, and in cooling rain, he can’t move as fast! He evolves into Camerupt, with two hump, each its own little magma-filled volcano peak on top. So you better believe this guy can make some heat!
Numel has so-so stats, with low speed and defenses, but has a decent move pool to supply his offenses. Here’s what these little camels have:
- Earthquake-Att 100 Accuracy 100% Powerful ground move, no effects on the flyers out there, though
- Lava Plume-Att 80 Accuracy 100% A nod to those volcanoes on their backs
- Flamethrower-Att 95 Accuracy 100%
- Toxic-Att — Accuracy 100% Will poison your foe, for a little more type coverage
The either have the ability Oblivous, which will make them immune to the Attract conditon, or Simple, which allows the effectiveness of stat changes to be doubled. All of these Numels I will hand out have the Modest nature (+Special Attack, - Attack).
Now a story: When I was trying to post this event, almost as soon as I was ready to do so, the site went down for 6 hours, and now during the event itself, the wifi is down. These Numel must be cursed! I could not decide on names, so I wasn’t going to name them at all, but now, I must! All Numels will be named after something curse related!
So want one of these CURSED Numel? Here’s what you do:
- Comment with your Name and Friend Code
- Even if we have traded before, I need your information again!
- Get a Pokemon to trade (preferably non-Sinnoh, though I will take anything, items and TMs are always appreciated.)
- Be in the Wi-Fi zone at 12pm ET (New York Time) on Febuary 17th (Sunday)
- Make yourself available to Trade (Invite–>Trade) I will come to you when I’m ready.
- If you are new to our site, your first comment will be moderated. Don’t worry if your post doesn’t show, we will get to it in time, and you will not miss out!
My Information:
Trainer name: God
Friend Code: 5369 6895 7194
See everyone Sunday!
