Halloween Pokemon Farming Edition: Duskull
October 30, 2007 | 56 Comments
Greetings and welcome to the special Halloween night haunted farming event!
Haunted….with the ghosts of Duskull!
Duskull, and his evolution Dusclops, are one of several Pokes that earned a new evolution the generation. With a Reaper Cloth attached (found on Route 229), Dusclops will evolve into Dusknoir. All have pretty decent defense stats but not so fantastic speed stats. Duskull has the ability Levitate, which prevent damage from ground type moves. When it evolves though, both evolutions have the ability Pressure which causes a foe to use 2 pp of a move rather that one when it is hit.
These specially prepared Duskulls come with a mean moveset
- Shadow Ball
- Dark Pulse
- Psychic
- Will-o-Wisp
So do you want one of these SPOOOOOKY Duskulls? Here’s what you do:
- Comment with your Name and Friend Code
- Even if we have traded before, I need your information again!
- Get a Pokemon to trade (preferably non-Sinnoh, though I will take anything, items are always appreciated!)
- Be in the Wi-Fi zone at 8pm EDT on October 31(Wednesday)
- Make yourself available to Trade (Invite–>Trade) I will come to you when I’m ready.
- If you are new to our site, your first comment will be moderated. Don’t worry if your post doesn’t show, we will get to it in time, and you will not miss out!

Happy Halloween!
October 30, 2007 | 8 Comments
It’s that time of year again, Halloween!
I know we get a good mixture of kids and adults here at PokeFarm so why not leave a comment and tell everyone about your plans (and costume) for Halloween.
Will you be carving pumpkins? Going to a costume party? Tell us because we want to know.
Me? As the dad of the house it is normally my job to stay home and hand out the candy. I did carve a pumpkin tonight.
Let me tell all the other dads out there something very important. A Dremel will help you carve the pumpkin faster but you will also end up making a huge mess and those little bits of pumpkin that hit the floor dry harder than concrete!

Yes, I carved an Electrode out of a pumpkin for Halloween. Now, you might think that it is lame or uninspired but I have to tell you that shaving the top half of that pumpkin down with a Dremel was a very messy affair. I had pumpkin guts all over myself and the floor.
When you use the Dremel the pumpkin tends to liquify beneath you. This results in a very fine orange mist covering everything.

There he is in all his glory. I did go back and do a little more shaving to fix that one dark patch.

Pikachu, the video game?
October 23, 2007 | 10 Comments

Your eyes are not deceiving you, that is Pikachu. It is billed as Pokemon TV Games on the web store I found it on.
This product is described on the sales site as:
Bring all the fun of Pokemon to your TV– and no game system is required! All that’s needed are 4 “AA” batteries; no consoles or cartridges are required. Simply plug in the A/V input jacks that come with the controller into any standard television set, turn on and play!
I was unable to find any other information about this other than the expected arrival date of December 2007.
If anyone knows anything about the games on this thing please let me know!
Pokemon RPG Coming to Wii?
October 21, 2007 | 17 Comments
If you were at “E for All” last week you might have encountered a certain Pokemon Company developer who stated that they are working on an RPG Pokemon title for the Wii. No details have been released about this new game so we do not know if it will be a new region of the Pokemon world or based in one of the existing regions.
Long Time Pokemon players will note that the Game Cube Pokemon games did not introduce any new Pokemon but were both placed in the same region, a region where wild Pokemon were extremely rare.
Some people have been speculating a remake of the Johto based games for the DS since before Pokemon Diamond and Pearl were released. I would love to see the Jhoto games remade for the DS. I greatly enjoyed the Leaf Green and Fire Red remakes for the GBA so who knows.
This Pokemon Company developer also stated that the reason there has not been a Pokemon RPG game on the Wii yet is due to Nintendo’s desire to focus on the community aspects of Pokemon. The new DS games have brought this to the for front with Internet battling and trading. Just take a quick look at our forum and you will see what I mean. The secondary reason has been that Nintendo wanted to keep the line on their most popular platform; the portables.
Many gamers were disappointed (myself included) at the lack of an RPG in the recently released Pokemon Battle Revolution game for Wii. If Nintendo makes up for this by releasing a new Pokemon RPG game for the Wii I will be happy.

Magmortar Code Revealed
October 20, 2007 | 6 Comments
If you purchased Pokemon Battle Revolution than you have probably heard about the Mystery Gifts you can unlock in that game. For one thing you can get a “Surfing” Pikachu once you beat the game.
Rumors have been going wild around the Internet about other Mystery Gift Pokemon that can be unlocked in the game, this is one of them.
Today Pokemon-games.com put up a page where you have to go through several tests to unlock this code. After completing these tests I have posted the code here for your enjoyment!
Use this code in PBR to unlock a mystery Pokemon B416-X4HT-VTWF.
You also receive a Silver Battle Pass
1. From the reception desk, select the Profile menu.
2. Once you are in the Profile menu, select “Profile” again. Then, choose “Self-introduction.”
3. On the message input screen, enter the code EXACTLY as it appears, including the hyphens between the numbers. Once you’ve entered the code, select “Confirm.”
4. You will be taken back to the Profile menu. Select “OK” at the bottom of the screen
5. If you entered the code correctly, the receptionist will appear and tell you that you have received a special Mystery Gift. Once you get this message, go to the Shop menu, choose “Mystery Gift,” look for the Shocking Secret Gift, select it, then follow the instructions that appear on the screen.
After you complete the process and download the Magmortar to your DS you need to go to the nearest PokeMart to pick him up! Once you do you will have a Pokemon with the trainer ID of 06257/PKTOPIA. This Pokemon is level 50, holding a Charcoal and knows the following moves:
- Flamethrower – Fire
- Psychic – Psychic
- Hyper Beam – Normal
- Solar Beam – Grass
Pokemon Farming: Cherubi
October 19, 2007 | 47 Comments
Greetings Weekend Harvesters!
I am back and hopefully back on a weekly schedule that will allow me to continue farming.
So, based on that fact I figured that there would be others that with school or work this was a chore that you’d rather let someone else take care of. And so I have!![]()
This Cherubi was bred with care and with a few special moves as well. Those are:
- Tackle (Good ol’ tackle)
- Sunny Day (Combo with Solarbeam)
- Solarbeam (SATB and Sunny day = COMBO)
- Grass Knot (STAB)
While the stats aren’t amazing on Cherubi or Cherrim, this moveset is about as good as it gets. Couple this with Magical Leaf (Gained at lvl 19) and it becomes a pretty handy lil poke!
I’ve gone ahead and named all of these guys and gals after fruits and vegetables, since its namesake is the Cherry, also a fruit.
I hope you enjoy!
Here are my rules:
- Leave a comment with your trainer name and friend code. I’ve had to dump most of my pal pad, so more than likely I will need your info again.
- Have Fun!
- Have something to trade. I will take anything, but I’m still filling my ‘dex so I prefer non-Sinnoh Pokemon. Also, they don’t need to be holding anything, but I will always take any item you might have to offer, especially evolution stones.
- Be in the Wifi Union Room by 2:00 PM Eastern Time (1:00 PM Central Time) on Saturday, October 20th.
- Be waiting in Trade Mode (Invite -> Trade). I will come to you when I’m ready.
- My information is as follows:
- Trainer name – Whit
- Friend Code – 3136-3364-7333.
Can’t wait to see you all there!

Pokemon Farming: Absol
October 18, 2007 | 63 Comments
Today in Pokemon Farming, the disaster Pokemon, Absol!
This little dark Pokemon, is in Pokemon lore, the omen of disaster and bad things. It’s defense stat is not so great, but the attacks it can put out are some great ones. Having one of my special Absols wont be bad at all though! Besides looking so cool, these guys can do a little of everything–
- Flamethrower
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt
- Dark Pulse (STAB)
It also has two abilities: Pressure, when the opponents attacks hit, 2 PP of that move are used instead of one and Super Luck, which increases the critical hit ratio of moves. Pretty nice abilities I think!
So, would you like one of my ‘everything’ Absols? Heres what to do:
- Comment with your Name and Friend Code
- Even if we have traded before, I need your information again!
- Get a Pokemon to trade (preferably non-Sinnoh, though I will take anything, items are always appreciated.)
- Be in the Wi-Fi zone at 5pm EDT on October 19 (Friday)
- Make yourself available to Trade (Invite–>Trade) I will come to you when I’m ready.
- If you are new to our site, your first comment will be moderated. Don’t worry if your post doesn’t show, we will get to it in time, and you will not miss out!
- Only Absol will be handed out tonight, thanks!

Pokemon Perfume?
October 18, 2007 | 17 Comments

You know what? I thought I had seen everything but this one just blew me away. I mean, Pokemon Perfume? This product is billed as Pokemon Perfume by Air Val International for Women 3.3 Oz Eau De Toilette Spray
The first thing I want to know is what this stuff smells like. The second thing I want to know is what type of woman buys and wears this?
I showed this to my daughter and she laughed. I showed it to my wife and she laughed too, for a different reason.
I also have to wonder if this stuff was made with the use of the rare blue Shuckle. True Pokemon fans will undoubtedly recall that there is a special Pokemon love potion that can be made with the juice from a rare blue Shuckle.

I can just see it now…
Brock: Sniff… Sniff… What’s that smell?
Ash: Uh, I don’t smell anything.
Brock: It’s coming from over there!
Ash: Are you sure about this Brock?
Brock: Look it’s Officer Jenny, I knew I smelled the smell of love in the air.
Officer Jenny: Uh Brock, you’re a bit young for me!
Brock: But, that smell! It smells like love!
Officer Jenny: That? Why it’s just my Pokemon Eau De Toilette Spray.
Ash: Uh, you spray yourself with water from a Pokemon’s toilet?
Brock: How dare you insult the beauty of my Officer Jenny!!!
Yeah, you get the picture.
