well hey!! so, i wasn't going to start this hunt "for real" until a bit closer to type race. i wanted to build my chain up to like, 800-1,000 before activating boosts. but, with sei as good as it was (21), and my confidence getting boosted from getting two shinies in 3 parties, i was like, lol whatever. let's see. and well i see! purple sparkles went hard!! important to note that i got all of the specials i wanted from this hunt in one day. hatched two shinies and two albinos, got a few spares of those, then boom, melan. success i had activated a super lucky egg to make use of the shelter adoption bonus, and right as it ran out this party was ready to hatch. so i was vaguely like "haha this is your last chance to give me something cool today" and it did!! would've reacted irl a lot more but my roommate was in the room so xD didn't stop me from making the joke "it's just that easy 😏" as if this hatch wasn't just really lucky xD (compare this to my hisuian sneasel hunt though! that one took 3k+!!) here's the thing: i want a melan weavile. that was the point of this hunt. but this guy hatched so early - the first day of the hunt, technically! - that i want to keep going to see if i get a spare to keep as a sneasel. but then i feel like that's just my hubris. idk lol (either way i'll stick with it until type race, since well, idk what i'd hunt for that in that case lol. and even ignoring that, i need to make use of the rest of my z crystal) technically the 6th shiny and 4th albino of the chain! hatched without hypermode and with a dark z crystal. 6% LCB. 3rd slot. 54th melan sneasel on site. (side bar, there's more melan mega weaviles than weaviles...) but fr i cannot stress enough how my boosts were an impulse. every sei day, even if i'm not really hunting anything for real, i do a level 7 radar and a shiny charm. prior to this, no shiny charm, and only lvl 1 radar. i was just trying to get my chain higher. but today i did uber and crystal and had been starting to regret it as the day progressed, but hey, it worked out in the end! Not to be a hater-complainer but man I would’ve held onto my spare loyal 3 summons had I’d known I’d have to summon them again :/ Why release them early at all?? I Litcherally would’ve just waited Also just annoyed at opening 43 boxes and getting absolutely nothing from them, I love summon updates <3 time to pay 8 million dollars for them from other users

but for real I'm very pleased that I got another! I went into this sneasel hunt only wanting one melan, to evolve into a weavile. however, i got my first so surprisingly early that of course i just kept with it; plus, my first was male, which i like the design of more. if i had evolved him, and i got another melan that was female, i would be kinda miffed lol. (which is exactly what happened!) this sneasel hunt was supposed to be for my ice type race... but... i got both melans needed for the full line before it even started 😭 which is awesome! but i don't really know what to do now. i could keep going with sneasels, maybe get another melan, which i could then maybe sell. but idk. i just... don't really like any other ice type melan?? or at least not ones where the first stage is an ice type. like, i think delibird's is good, but i don't really want a melan delibird. cetitan and baxcalibur look cool, but i don't really like those pokemon! cryogonal is so... brown. seel is a pure water type so i can't go for that despite liking dewgong's design. the only one i've really considered is alolan sandshrew because i think the purple on the sandslash actually looks really nice (one of the few good purple melans - why are almost all ice melans purple or brown!!!!!!!!) i... could do spheal, because i want the s/a line. but (despite not actually expecting anything) i want to go for something i'd want the melan of because i have an uber active rn. and the melan colors for the spheal line... kinda bad imo. purplish brown strikes again. spheal is cute enough though! so still kinda thinking about it. i just. have days before the race even STARTS so i'm kinda flailing here. but ANYWAY enough of that. technically the 14th shiny and 13th albino! hatched in i believe the 4th slot (hatched on mobile, i didn't really make note of the placement...), 40th melan weavile on site! hatched without hypermode with an ice z crystal. 21% LCB. sei was 20. funniest part about this sei day is besides this guy, i hatched 1 shiny and 0 albinos. slay. (i'm glad the sneasels liked me but now i'm worried for next month... i have like 3 separate hunts to complete Dx) final stats of the hunt: stopped at 1,486 hatched. 12 shinies, 11 albinos, 2 melans. 0 twins of any kind. she was the last special of the chain when it ended! it feels so bad to break the chain but... i don't see a need to come back to it, and 1400 is not that high of a chain. but still AUGH [post]

I have been getting VERY lucky this month and it’s kinda freaking me out tbh!! I’m scared May absorbed all my luck and all my upcoming electric hunts will be unlucky D: BUT we are here to celebrate this little fellow. Technically the 3rd shiny and 2nd albino, hatched with 1.5% LCB, in I believe the 4th slot. Hatched 6:49 AM my time. 80th melan alolan sandshrew on site (wow there’s a lot of em). No hypermode, and also no z crystal or sei! Again with the “ice type race was supposed to be sneasels” but !! For real, I changed my hunt because I figured why bother to keep hatching sneasels when I could maybe get other specials I want. And since I have an uber active (which is not usually how I play), I wanted to make sure it would be a melan design I would like. Um. Said this on the other post but man there’s not a lot of good ice melans 😭 they’re so purple and brown… But the purple works here imo, I like it! Most likely will evolve this guy, but holding off in case I somehow hatch another with a nature more fitting of a sandslash. I was going to make my ice hunt spheal, but I’m not a big fan of that melan. But I figured hey what the heck, I still want 3 shinies and albinos, so let’s just do it. Got VERY lucky and got 4 shinies and 4 albinos in like 2 days, in under 200 hatched eggs, once again before type race even started. With that luck I feel like I could’ve maybe gotten a melan and THEN moved onto sandshrew, but I was okay with just moving on without trying, since I still wasn’t expecting anything. Idk why sally is loving me right now, this guy is my earliest hatched melan at under 200 eggs. Come on now.
